JOB DESCRIPTION:

Procurement Officer

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Adhere to ANABEEB Safety and Quality Policies, Rules and Regulations.

 Responsible in inquiring / sourcing alternative dealers in the local market with the capability to supply merchandise in

case of non-availability of materials from accredited suppliers.

 Search and source subsite materials in the absence of part or diagrams provided by the requesting department.

Arranging the comparison sheet and getting the necessary approvals.

 Coordinate for receiving inspection.

 Report shortage of supplies or any discrepancies.

 Keep abreast of technical Safety and quality developments and acquire appropriate skills required to function in

confidant manner.

 Participate in the conduct of supplier’s evaluation to ensure company’s requirements are being met.

 Attend other tasks as may be directed by the immediate supervisor.

Presently accountable for entire Purchase activities of the ERP Vendor development, Vendor

Evaluation etc.

 Engineering Purchase (Valves, Nut and Bolts, Gaskets, SS and MS Pipes, Pressure Gauges, CS,

SS and MS Plates, Beams, Cements Etc., Capital Items like Machinery, Equipment’s, Steel Items

safety items and varies consumables items etc… 

 Verification and passing of supplier’s bills to see that payments are made promptly.

 Spearheading efforts across developing alternate sources of supply through market research.

 Diligently verifying operational efficiency levels and implementing various cost control

measures for ensuring cost-effective procurements and improving bottom-line performance;

active involvement in procuring materials and streamlining purchasing systems thereby

registering maximum productive output.

 Keeping information of current developments in the field of purchasing, prices, negotiations,

new/alternative supplier development, new ingredients development, market conditions and

new products.

Procuring goods in right quantity with right margin from the vendors & suppliers while

forming the rates contract.

 Procurement of material through requisitions/ purchase indents.

 Selection of approved suppliers for issue of enquires.
