I have 20+ years of experience in Projects Budgeting and Cost Management.A long-experienced Cost Control professional having profound understanding ofproject management key elements (time, cost and risk) and accordingly, providesin-depth analysis and top-class deliverables. Most of my experience was inmulti-projects portfolio environment ranging up to $4B, handling various typeof projects/contracts. With an eye for details, continuous improvement, meetingdeadlines, re-sorting of priorities. I have excellent communication skills atall management levels and with all functions (business/technical).
As Lead Cost Control Engineer - PMC Consultantin the client’s team (Kuwait Oil Company), I was in-charge of providing thecost control services. I participated in successfully handing-over andfinancial closing of 7 projects. I significantly improved the K.O.C. costcontrol functions by re-developing cost progress measurement systems andprocedures which enabled K.O.C. teams to properly control cost performance.
As BusinessControls Manager, I led a team of Cost Controllers, Estimators, andContracts Administrators to provide all business controls services for theOperation Department including managing Minor Capital Projects. I managed costcapturing tools, provided guidance to cost controller and contractsadministrators on how best to utilize SAP, streamlined the estimation process,steered monthly cost review meetings and yearly budgeting exercises.
I started as a CostController for the Engineering Section and stepped-up in my career until I wasappointed as Head of Budget and Cost Control for the Company. I developed andmanaged cost allocation systems of all company business units, steered theannual budgeting reviews and developed annual budget packages, efficientlymanaged the billing and time writing processes, provided business and financialguidance to Operations and Minor Capital Projects teams.
