JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements

1.Lifting  Engineer shall hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or its equivalent and have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in  Heavy and critical Lifting, planning activities in the Oil and gas industry.   

2.Knowledge of all lifting equipment and various crane types. 

3. Working Experience in Offshore jacket/topside/Riser tower fabrication /installation project  preferred  

4.Expertise in developing Auto Cad Lifting plans for Critical and Non Routine Lifts.

5.Strong understanding of rigging principles 

6.Excellent communication skill in English .

7.Member in LEEA or similar/equivalent

Roles and responsibilities 

1.Preparation of Lifting plans as per the site verification using AUTOCAD, and submitting lifting plans packages  with all relevant documents for the client approval as per the Company Lifting Procedure .

2.Promote Safe Handling and Lifting Operations referring to Company HSE policy and international standards.

3.Assess, analyse, plan and execute lifting operations on site in line with Company standards

4.Verify the lifting equipment requirements through a review of the scope of work

5.Maintain a systematic and methodological approach to the Lifting Operations.

6.Ensure lifting equipment’s which used for all  the execution of all lifting activities has the required capacity for the safe execution of the lifting operation.

7.Participates in the Coaching, Mentoring, and Training of Rigging Supervisor, Rigging Foreman, and Riggers. 

8.To be involved in planning internal audits of the lifting operations participates in lifting operations incident investigation and analyses

9.Lead the lifting teams at the Site, towards safe work practice and ensure lifting operations are held safely, considering all hazards and corresponding controls.
